About TETMI

About Us The Evangelizers Team Ministries International Incorporated (TETMI) is an interdenominational, independent Missions Agency founded by the late Rev. Dr. Sunday M.I. Umune on September 5, 1985, focusing on reaching the unreached rural areas of the Eastern Nigeria with the gospel of salvation in Christ Jesus with a holistic approach.  This came about through his touring of the then East Central States in the company of Rev. Jerry Swank, where together, they discovered the utter neglect of the rural populace with the gospel of Jesus Christ by denominations. There was the focus on the city churches while the rural churches were languishing. According to him, when he returned from the trip and told his colleagues, who were at the helm of affairs at the district, of his findings and the need to focus more on these rural areas, he received no encouragement as they were busy fighting for the offices.  After much waiting, agonizing of soul and waiting on the direction of the Holy Spirit, he was convinced that God will want him to leave the pastorate and go into an independent Missionary work to save the dying souls. In 1985, he voluntarily retired from the ECWA work; and launched this Ministry, The Evangelizers’ Team Ministries International Incorporated, on September 5, 1985. This is with the sole aim of reaching the unreached rural populace with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Click here to visit our main website
